    Save $ on purchasing … for every county department
    U.S. Communities is a purchasing alliance provided through NACo that allows counties to buy thousands of items — from maintenance and hardware supplies at Home Depot, to office supplies from Independent Stationers to auto parts from Carquest or public safety supplies from Safeware/Mallory – all without going through your own bidding process. This new U.S. Communities Flyer lists all the companies that are part of a new E-Commerce Marketplace that lets you shop from 28 vendors using a single “shopping cart.”

    At its recent conference, the Association of County Administrators of Alabama named Coosa County’s Sherrie Kelley the Administrator of the Year and recognized Cleburne County with the Excellence in County Administration Award for a program called Creative Solutions Through Partnerships and Innovative Thinking.

    At its recent conference, the Association of County Engineers of Alabama named Butler County’s Dennis McCall the Engineer of the Year and recognized Coffee County with the John F. Courson Excellence in County Engineering Award for a project called Landfill Gas Collection and Carbon Credits.

     

    ACCA will be open on Monday
    Despite the state holiday, the ACCA office will open regular hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) on Monday, June 3.
