  • ATRIP match funds proposed
In this memo from John Cooper, Gov. Robert Bentley has proposed making $1 million in match funds available to each county for ATRIP projects. Counties would have to decide whether to accept the match assistance by early January. ACCA, which has been involved in developing this proposal, has scheduled a conference call to explain details and answer questions. The call will be 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday. The number of participants is limited, so it is recommended that officials from each county gather together and call in on the same line. Participants will dial 800-215-0618 and then enter this access code: 2637594.

    New term info
Mary Pons has prepared a handout detailing everything you need to know about commissioners beginning a new term of office – bonding requirements, the oath of office and the organizational meeting, which this year falls on Nov. 14.

    Election results
Commissioners are on the ballots this week in 55 counties across the state. Brandy Perry will be contacting administrators in those counties on Wednesday to get election results.

New faces in the membership directory
If you are the person responsible for submitting information for the membership directory, please remember that all information (survey parts 1 and 2) are due to the ACCA office on Friday. Questions? Contact Paulette Williams or Sallie Gowan.

    Workers’ compensation payroll audits
The annual workers’ compensation payroll audits are now in full swing. If your county/entity has not responded to Don Thomason’s letter requesting payroll audit information, please do so as soon as possible. Responses must be received by Dec. 1. Members who do not respond by Dec. 31 will be billed for an additional payment equal to a quarter of your annual contribution. Questions? Contact Henry van Arcken.
