    Liability Fund Refunds Being Sent This Week

    Get Your Legislative Reports

    Starting this week, the ACCA’s Legislative Reports will be emailed from a different system. To make sure you receive this important information in a timely way, please review these tips. Also, with lawmakers expected to work a heavier-than-normal schedule this week, you can expect to receive Legislative Report emails several times through the week.     Be Part of ONE Voice in the Alabama Legislature

    The Association is set to host ACCA County Days again this year as part of our campaign to speak to the Alabama Legislature with One Voice. The first ACCA County Day is on Tuesday, March 17 for Butler, Elmore, Geneva, Marengo, Mobile, Monroe, Morgan, Perry, Pickens, Pike, St. Clair and Walker counties. The 2nd ACCA County Day of the legislative session is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31. You can find your county’s designated day and get more info online.


    Two Classes for Commissioners Next Week

    There is still time for commissioners to sign up for a pair of Alabama Local Government Training Institute classes next week, and the topics are critical for new commissioners. The Financial Administration class will begin on Wednesday, March 18, and it will be immediately followed by the Roads & Bridges class, which begins after lunch on Thursday, March 19, and concludes the next day.     Professional Development Pairing in May

    The second week of May is jam-packed with professional learning opportunities for county employees. The Association of County Engineers of Alabama will host the ACEA Conference on May 12 and 13, and the Association of County Administrators of Alabama will begin the ACAA Conference on the May 13 and conclude the next day.
