Remarks from ACCA Executive Director Sonny Brasfield

Things will be buzzing on North Jackson Street this week. For the first time in three years, we are preparing for a full-fledged Annual Convention. Thanks to all of you who are making the trip to Baldwin County — and to Baldwin County for its help in making the event a success. We look forward to learning from each other as we “Chart Our Journey” for the challenges ahead!

This week’s need-to-know information from ACCA

ACCA announces launch of new online directory, social media network for members of county government

The ACCA staff is proud to announce the launch of a new and exciting resource for members of county government — the ACCA County Family online community. The community is private and accessible only to county government officials and employees and features a number of benefits to allow county leaders to connect and communicate, access important news and documents, and even register for ACCA educational events relevant to their role in county government.

To claim your account on the ACCA County Family online community, monitor your inbox tomorrow around 8 a.m. for an email from “ACCA <>” titled “Accessing Our New Online Community — ACCA County Family.” Individuals who do not receive an email are reminded to check their spam folder and to contact ACCA’s Abby Fitzpatrick for any further assistance. Those who do not receive an email are also invited to visit and click on the “Request Account” button.

The ACCA County Family online community is also currently available for download in the Apple app store and will be available in the Google Play app store in the coming weeks.

The ACCA staff looks forward to welcoming County Family members at next week’s 94th Convention with a new (and improved) process for checking in to the event and securing their name badge and other important event materials. On-site kiosks will be set up near the entrance of the Grand Ballroom Foyer to allow attendees to easily initiate the event check-in process. Individuals currently registered for the Convention are encouraged to watch this “how-to” video to see how the kiosks will work.

Additional information regarding this year’s check-in and name badge process can be found here. Please contact ACCA’s Events and Education team with any Convention-related questions.
