    ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCEMENTS

This week’s need-to-know information from ACCA

Strong advocate for counties elected to ERS Board of Control thanks to County Family support

This week, the Retirement Systems of Alabama (RSA) officially certified election results for the Employees’ Retirement System Board of Control (ERS) election — announcing DeKalb County County Commission President Ricky Harcrow as the winner.

Thanks to the unwavering support of County Leaders across the state, the ERS Board’s Active County Employee Position seat will be filled by a strong, consistent advocate for Alabama’s 67 counties. Effective October 1, 2022, Ricky will begin his four-year term as a member of the Board.

9-1-1 Leaders gather for series of educational meetings July 27-29

Leaders in 9-1-1 from across the state will gather later this week for the 2022 Alabama 9-1-1 Summit at the Marriott Prattville Hotel and Conference Center. Scheduled for July 27-29, the Summit will consist of a series of back-to-back meetings and educational sessions facilitated by the Alabama 9-1-1 Board, the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) Alabama Chapter and ACCA’s 9-1-1 affiliate organization — the Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Districts (AAND).

An agenda for the 2022 AAND Workshop is available here. Please contact ACCA’s Events and Education Team with questions regarding this year’s workshop.
