Monday Memo | November 15

Remarks from ACCA Executive Director Sonny Brasfield

We concluded the district meetings last week with a trip “home” to Tuscaloosa. I sat across from a 37-year county employee who has been a faithful, honest and dedicated public servant. The citizens have been blessed by his commitment. Clearly, public service has not gone completely out of style.

Counties urged to adjust email security for correspondence from

Attention, All Members of the County Family! If you have recently encountered issues receiving important ACCA correspondence, know that the Association staff is making adjustments to alleviate this issue. Starting on December 1, all mass membership emails (such as the Monday Memo, Thursday News and Goat Hill communications) will come from a single email address — Leading up to December 1, we encourage you to share this change with the individual(s) responsible for your email security so that your county may prepare accordingly. Please know that this change will apply only to mass emails and will in no way affect traditional one-on-one emails with the Association staff.

For questions, assistance or guidance on a particular issue, please continue to send correspondence to the email address of the appropriate Association staff member. Contact information for every member of the ACCA staff can be found here.
