Remarks from ACCA Executive Director Sonny Brasfield

This morning seems like a great time to thank everyone who has worked to prepare our state for tomorrow’s election. Those outside county government do not understand the elbow grease and coordination that’s necessary to make the election run effectively! Thanks very much, and break a leg!

This week’s need-to-know information from ACCA

VOTE “YES” tomorrow on Amendments 2 & 7

Attention, County Family members! Election Day is tomorrow, and all county officials and employees are reminded to VOTE “YES” for Amendments 2 and 7 on the ballot. These proposed amendments to the State Constitution were legislative priorities for Alabama counties during the 2022 Legislative Session and now need a favorable vote of the general public to take effect.

Amendment 2 will aid in expanding internet access across all 67 counties, while Amendment 7 will clarify the authority of local governments to promote economic and industrial development. County Family members can access shareable talking points and fliers for both amendments on the ACCA website.
