Remarks from ACCA Executive Director Sonny Brasfield

District meetings begin tonight in Morgan County and continue all around the state over the next month. The Association staff is always energized by spending time with the membership and looking toward the future. This year, it’s never been more true. We can’t wait to see everyone and “press reset” one final time. We hope you can clear your schedule to join your “county family.”

Workers’ Comp Fund begins FY20-21 Payroll Audits

The ACCA Workers’ Compensation Self-Insurers Fund recently sent Fund members the FY20-21 Annual Payroll Audit Memo and Fact Sheet, which outline the details about this year’s audit. Auditors from NEIS, Inc. have begun contacting Fund members to schedule their on-site payroll audits. These annual payroll audits are required to confirm and correct, if necessary, the audit billing estimates that Fund members provided during the insurance renewal process.

All FY20-21 Payroll Audits must be completed before December 2, 2021 in order for actuarial deadlines to be met. Failure for Fund members to meet this deadline will result in a 25 percent late fee. For questions regarding the WC Fund, contact CRS Underwriting Analyst, Ashley Watson. For specific questions regarding the audit, contact NEIS Audit Manager Brad Boone.
