     4. Strategic Plan Coming Into Focus

The Association’s proposed new strategic plan, “Unifying the County Voice,” is coming into focus. The document will be the roadmap for the Association’s activities over the next five years. After membership input from a variety of survey opportunities, the steering committee (Team 2021) developed an outline that has been refined by the ACCA Board of Directors. Team 2021 will reconvene in November to finalize a draft for consideration by the ACCA Board of Directors and then the full membership during the Legislative Conference in December.  All members will receive an electronic copy of the draft plan in advance of its consideration in December.

     5. NACo at The Grand

This week the Association plays host to the annual conference of National Council of County Association Executives, an affiliate of NACo.  The group, composed of the executive directors from the county commission associations in each state, will be at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear for educational and training sessions. The Association is proud to host the event and expresses its appreciation to Volkert Engineering and RDS for serving as local sponsors.
