ACCA Legislative Committee to conduct Pre-Session Workshop
This week, the 67 members of ACCA’s Legislative Committee will come together for a two-day, intensive work session to prepare for the 2026 Legislative Session. While together, committee members will largely take aim at the Alabama County Platform — reviewing existing policies, discussing anticipated legislative issues and developing strategic solutions for speaking with ONE Voice during the session. Tackling the Platform will also include a thorough review of the policy recommendations provided this fall by ACCA’s affiliate organizations and Minority Issues Steering Committee. Once approved by the Legislative Committee, the Platform will advance to a vote of the ACCA Board of Directors and then a vote of the full membership during the December Legislative Conference.
