There are three major programs for county employees.
County Government Education Institute (CGEI)
The County Government Education Institute provides professional development for a variety of county employees. It offers:
Alabama Local Tax Institute of Standards and Training (ALTIST)
ALTIST offers the certified revenue examiner program.
CROAA Education Program
In Partnership with Jacksonville State University, CROAA offers the certified county revenue officer designation.
- In addition to the programs listed above, the Alabama chapter of the Association of Public Personnel Administrators offers excellent training for county employees who handle human resources responsibilities. Though this group is not directly associated with ACCA, county staff members frequently benefit from the group’s education program.
